October 21, 2026 v1.5.3.1 Security

Tighter site-wide permissions — only users with Bricks full access can change global styles, the design system, or import and replace a project. Content editors can still edit their pages
Safer project imports — importing a project bundle now requires permission to upload files, and only image files are ever written to your server
Custom code is admin-only — adding site-wide code snippets now needs WordPress's permission for raw code, which also respects multisite and hardened hosting setups

October 20, 2026 v1.5.3 Fix

Bricks 2.4 support — Brickser now loads correctly on the new Bricks 2.4 toolbar, wherever you dock it, and inserting or saving sections no longer fails silently
"Connect AI" button — the chat box shows a clear Connect AI button until you've added your AI key, and DeepSeek is now offered during setup
Smarter style edits — the AI now sees your full class settings and spacing scale, so style changes land more accurately
Design system fixes — reinstalling no longer creates duplicate variables or shows the Spacing block twice, keeps your fonts, and older design-system pages render correctly again
Font fixes — uploaded custom fonts now show their real name and load properly on the live site
Export fixes — every category and tag is exported, and code snippets keep their on/off state

New .u-light utility — add one class to a dark section and its text, buttons, and icons switch to light colours automatically, in the builder and on the live site
Design system stays up to date — plugin updates now refresh the shared design-system classes for you, while keeping them protected from accidental edits
Icons follow their section — SVG artwork no longer stays black inside dark or brand-coloured sections
